To rue the nadirs of life.
For years, I've been struggling with time management, like a cage I have been locked onto. My days during the first quarter were unforgiving; I still haven't gotten off the cage which made some days badly spent and hard to fist. It was hard managing my time because I get drained easily after spending the whole day in school, then end up being an avid procrastinator. It continued, and I had no choice but to go through it and learn from it. This quarter wasn't all that "idyllic place" we always had dreamed of, but rather vivid memories of setbacks and struggles.
But, how did I continue the quarter, despite these setbacks and struggles?
Looking back, I addressed these struggles by making goals and plans so that I can keep up with the rest of the class. I was able to make use of interactive and productive applications such as planners and productivity timers; while not being able to follow a rigid schedule is inevitable, it is still an efficient and reliable tool for me. Oftentimes, a lack of motivation makes procrastination simple. Having said that, I surrounded myself with people that can motivate me. Along with my friends and classmates who motivated me, I also joined study spaces — an interactive app where I was able to connect with individuals who did not divert me from my actual goal and were the ones who urged me to persevere all through the quarter.
Moving on, I'll manage my time effectively and set goals in lieu of breaking out of this cage I've been locked into for years. I'll number days I have yet to know of, and would not dare to hesitate to let a day pass as it is. I will no longer possess the dire need to stand behind tomorrow. To say, at least, I will set my goals with a determination of reaching them so that the next quarters won't be another phase of "it is what it is" anymore!
